Advancing meditation practice

I’ve recently purchased Muse 2 for my family as a gift for Christmas. I feel that this technology has the potential to truly transform their lives since they do not already have a meditation practice. However, I have been meditating for over 20 years and I find the simplified labels for the brain waves to be a let down for me. I’d like to know when i’m experiencing theta or even gamma. I had 59 mins of calm on my first day, lots of birds signing but I’m wanting to know more about what’s going on in my brain. I see that there are programmers as developers extending the capability of the device and I would like to be able to do that as well. Can you point me in the right direction please.

Yes, the Muse Headband user forum is very good!

Beginners first gain basic knowledge and experience in the Muse community, and participants who participate in advanced meditation experiences and/or develop EEG-related software contribute also to the Muse headband user forum.

But why not join both and contribute to place that suits you?
