Exporting Data from MuseLab to .csv - Not Working with MusePlayer

#1

Hello Muse Developers,

I am currently having problems exporting the .muse files and then converting them to .csv.
When I try to open MusePlayer it gives an error saying there is no input or output chosen:

" ERROR: You have no input type, please specify an input type.
Options are osc stream (-l port), muse file (-f file) or osc replay file (-o file)
"

This happens when I open MusePlayer only, and since on your website it is not well explained how to replay or convert your .muse files I am stuck in my research and studies.
Thanks,
Daniel

You probably have -F instead of -f. Muse-Player is case sensitive in it’s command line parameters

muse-player -f "inFile.muse" -C "outFile.csv"

Alternatively you can use the Muse Monitor app to record direct to CSV on your phone/tablet.

Hi Enigma644, my question is thatit doesn’t even give me the possibility to try and convert a file. As soon as I open the museplayer “application” it gives me that message, I cannot even link it towards a file. Any thoughts on that? Thank you

It’s a command line app. You need to run command prompt, navigate to the folder where you installed the tools, then run it.

Hi Daniel,

I believe that what was said by Enigma is enough, but since I have answered similar questions in the past maybe the following posts may be of some help too:

Take a look also to the tools developed by Enigma … Muse Monitor for Android and Apple devices are superb !

Good luck,
Eduardo
