Is ear sensor contact needed?

I want to measure sleeping, i find ear sensors, painful, uncomfortable to my ears after 20/30 minutes. Can i collect data without them? i only need front data. To analyse sleep states.

Hey zxcvbs,

You can just use the data from the forehead sensors and adjust the ears into a more comfortable position in which they are not necessarily making good contact, yes.

As I’ve said before in other threads, you will need to be careful that movement during sleep is not a problem, perhaps by using and elastic headband or some such thing to ensure Muse stays on.
