Muse-player does not make a matlab file under linux

#1

A strange error occurs when trying to convert a .muse recording into a matlab file.

Everything works ok when I convert to a csv file:

muse-player -f muselab_recording.muse -C first.csv

However when I try to make a Matlab file I get:

muse-player -f muselab_recording.muse -M first.mat
Muse Player 1.8.4
Input:
  * Muse file(s): ['muselab_recording.muse']

Output:
  * Matlab output file: first.mat

I am running Linux Mint 17. There are no permission problems here as the csv file is created without any problems…

[bump]

Same problem, muse-player under linux fails to output a .mat file (-C .csv, -F .muse work fine), either when streaming from osc, or converting from muse file (-f .muse).

Does not appear to be a permissions problem (same problem with sudo).

If I look at open files used by muse-player:

lsof -p <PID_of_muse_player>

it does not show an open .mat file, but if run with -C or -F it does show the corresponding output file.

Any help appreciated.

( I’m running Ubuntu 16.04 with Muse Player 1.8.4 and muse-io 3.6.5, which is the most current version bundled in museresearchtools-3.4.2-linux-installer.run ).
