I have some problems with muse-player. It opens for a second and it crashes suddenly. I have Windows 8.
It is really annoying. What shall I do?
Many thanks

Muse Player is a command line application. If you run it by double clicking from Windows, it will display some help text then immediately close.

You need to open the command prompt, navigate to the folder where it is installed, then run it from there with the correct command line parameters.

You can find help on how to do that here:

thanks for your answer. If my muse-player.exe is saved in the following path
C: Program File (x86) Muse which is the correct command line?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That depends on what you’re trying to do.

Usually people use Muse Player to play back recordings for viewing in Muse Lab. That means reading in a muse format recording and outputting an OSC stream to the local network.

The command for that would be:
muse-player.exe -f musedata.muse -s osc.udp://localhost:5000

All the options are listed in the developer documentation here.

If you’ve never used the command line before, then I would advise you to ask a friend for help getting started as it is a big jump from just using the standard windows graphic user interface.
