Once connected via Muse IO, not possible to use command line

#1

HI all, and sorry if this is obvious. I have tried repeatedly, read all the forums and documentation and still can’t get this to work. I am generally connecting, streaming and writing to file just fine as long as I use the ‘factory’ settings. However I want to make some changes (rename, stream two Muses to different files etc.)

  1. pair Muse

  2. open terminal

  3. type ‘muse-io’ or variation

  4. connection starts with notice bits/second: 8277 receiving at: 220.50Hz dropped samples: 0
    Battery: [================ ]+ 84% voltage: 4.02mV
    Noise: [ 12.5% 12.3% 12.5% 12.5%  ]

  5. now every time I type something it is overwritten by the constantly updating sampling information.

I want to nominally connect, so I can rename etc, and then send the streaming command. Any ideas?

Hi mobilewaves,

You have to pass all the flags you want to use with MuseIO when you run it. Once it is running, it doesn’t accept further input from the user.

To connect to two Muses, you must run two separate instances of MuseIO.
